NICARAGUA UPDATE

NICARAGUA FEEDING PROGRAM

The Community Center was built by several ministries, along with Buenos Amigos ministries, and our church, Ignited Church congregation, in Lakeland, FL, and Ablaze International partners. This community center serves an entire community that is within blocks of the huge City Dump.

We have been supporting Pastor Edelma and her husband, Pastor Bladimir, along with Buenos Amigos, with missionary Lee Bueno, since the late 1970's. This community center was their dream to expand their ministry to the children and families that live blocks away from the City Dump.

NICARAGUA Story

Back in the late 70’s, Missionary Lee Bueno, with Buenos Amigos Ministry, challenged my fathers church, First Assembly of God, Lakeland, Florida, to help her build an A-frame “Cathedral” just one block from the Managua City Dump!

Years later, in the early 2000’s, I took a team from our youth department to visit that “Cathedral” and assist Missionary Lee with her “feeding program” right beside the dump! Literally 1,000’s of people lived around the dump. They would work there, as well as get some of their food and clothing right out of the dump. She built a small pavilion next to the dump to feed the children. Ladies of the church volunteered to cook the food over an open fire in a small kitchen on the back of the church. Our team assisted on one of those days to help feed the children. Needless to say, it broke our hearts.

The community center you see at the top of this page is what we helped build for them a few years ago. In the NEXT section you will see the brand new Cathedral we just built!

It costs just $200 per day to feed these children from the community!
Would you like to help us FEED THESE CHILDREN? Any size gift will help.

When you give, specify NICARAGUA.
Your gift will be used to help this awesome church feed these children.

We are SO excited to show you both the NEW COMMUNITY CENTER that was built a few years ago, and the brand new CATHEDRAL that we helped dedicate in December 2024!

The Church held a huge “dinner on the grounds”. I stayed behind and prayed for anyone who needed extra help or healing.

Cathedral Dedication Sunday!
